Prostage presents the Remote WahWah - a rackmount MIDI WahWah

Prostage MIDI Rack WahWah

MIDI controllable WahWah effect with pure analog audio circuit. Also works as volume pedal, contour or treble booster.

Cala Millor, Spain – 23th April 2014 – Prostage has supplemented its loop and switch systems with a MIDI Rack WahWah . Therewith, Prostage provides a complete range of products which allows you to remote control your entire guitar rig.

The remote controlled WahWah is an effect unit to be installed inside the guitar rack. It is remotely controlled via MIDI with an expression pedal. The advantage of a rack mounted effect unit is obvious: you need far less guitar cable and you omit the associated sound and dynamic losses.

– Pure analog audio circuit (using a Fasel Coil)
– 18 volt operation
– Controlled via MIDI
– Auto Wah function with tap tempo
– Auto enable function
– 128 different WahWah sounds and volume control presets can be stored
– Easy creation of presets, using Prostage“s System Manager software on your Mac or PC. (XTMpro Adaptor or XDS | XLS Loop & Switch system required).

The Remote WahWah is built with a 100% analog audio circuit, identical to a standard WahWah, using a Fasel Coil. Therefore, the guitar signal does not have to pass AD/DA converters and maintains its natural dynamics.
Its effect and the most important settings such as the frequency range of the WahWah are controlled via MIDI. You can store presets with different WahWah sounds and you can also use the device as a volume pedal as well as a level, contour or treble booster. Bildquelle:kein externes Copyright

Prostage develops and manufactures equipment for controlling guitar rigs. Prostage“s aim is to process all guitar signals inside the rack. So, the front of the stage only comprises remote control units. The Prostage MIDI foot controllers and Loop systems are built around Prostage’s core development: the StageWire Technology, which is a stage-prove MIDI connection using a standard microphone cable. StageWire also includes phantom power for the foot controllers.

Prostage was founded by Lukas Truninger, a Swiss experienced audio engineer and backliner. Lukas has worked with several international touring bands, such as Krokus, during the 1990s and early 2000s, gathering a wealth of experience which has contributed to many construction details of Prostage devices. Today, Wolf Hoffmann from „Accept“ and „Flyleaf“’s Jared Hardmann are only two of many guitarists successfully using Prostage products on their extended tours.
