Delta Electronics presents highly efficient products and solutions

„MIDDLE EAST ELECTRICITY 2012“ in Dubai from 7-9 February 2012: Power systems with 96% efficiency and solar modules with an efficiency factor of 15%

The „MIDDLE EAST ELECTRICITY EXHIBITION“ (MEEE), which will be held in Dubai from 7-9 February in 2012, is one of the most important trade fairs in the fields of electricity, lighting and renewable energies. Held at the centre of one of the fastest growing technology markets – the Middle East – the MEEE brings suppliers and consumers together. Delta Electronics, the world’s leading provider of power management and thermal management solutions, will be presenting a wide range of energy efficient products and solutions in power electronics during the MEEE show on their booth ZJ01.

Power Electronics
Delta will be presenting power supply equipment specifically designed for the telecommunications industry here. The OutD cabinet can serve as weather-proof housing in both the tropics and the arctic, whenever space is tight or when the building density needs to be increased cost-effectively. There are various sizes available and its flexible configuration ensures that the right dimensions can be offered for use with telecommunication equipment. Delta’s OutD cabinets can encase the entire base station. Optional wall installations complete the protection offered for the installed devices. In addition, the enhanced thermal cooling allows notable savings in the operating and investment costs.

The CellD 300 is a rack-integrated power system specifically designed for the telecommunications industry. The entire product family – composed of the CellD 300, CellD 100 and CellD 40 – is based on completely new DC systems. They feature a modular design, can be configured with complementary products and were developed using standardised processes at Delta Energy Systems. The heart of the CellD 300 is the new 19IN/3U distribution panel, designed for a load current of 300 A. The CellD 300 features two plug-in units and six rectifiers in its maximal configuration. It offers a wide range of varying loads and short-circuit protection for the battery. The module is prepared for a load distribution with a max. 16 poles for the thermal-magnetic circuit breaker (MCB), the battery has six poles for hydraulic-magnetic circuit breakers (MHCB).

The DPR2900 and DPR4000 rectifier modules are compatible with CellD shelving systems. They offer an output of up to 11.6 (DPR2900) and 24 kW (DPR4000). Their small size is predestined for the modules for embedded power in mobile communication base stations or in broadband access points. The DPR 2900 series energy efficiency is greater than 96%.

Uninterruptible and Switching Power Supplies
NH Plus is the name for the next generation of uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems from Delta Electronics. It offers excellent protection for servers, computer centres, networks, VOIP and telecommunication systems. The systems feature market-leading energy efficiency with 94% even at common loads; up to six modules can be operated in parallel in one cabinet. Other important features include an input power distortion factor of less than 3%, which is based on patented technology, as well as battery independence, fan speed control and a high resolution LCD. NH Plus is compatible with generator installations, offers easy maintenance and scalability by modular design. With four parallel cabinets the power ranges from 20 to 480kVA.

The 5-10kVA series of the Amplon RT UPS systems has the task of providing a „1+1 redundancy“ in parallel configurations and thereby increasing the reliability of the system. It is designed for rack installation or as a tower with LCD. Also shown on the MEE are Switching Power Suplies, i.E. the Delta DPS Series. They provide power ranging up to 7,200W+ per power module, with efficiency of over 90% and power density of up to 25W/inch3. These products are modular, redundant, hot swappable, and provide universal input power systems for high reliability. Delta offers custom design and high volume manufacturing capability of power supplies for PCs, servers, workstations, networking, peripherals and office equipment. Delta’s switching power supplies use state-of-the-art circuits and advanced packaging technologies such as ASIC, hybrid circuits, and thin film to achieve high efficiencies and power densities.

Solar Panel and Industrial Automation
The other exhibits at the MEEE include solar panels offered by Delta’s subsidiary DelSolar such as the D6P245B3A solar module with an output of up to 245 Watts. This 990 x 1650 mm panel is made of 60 multi-crystal silicon cells reaching an efficiency of 15%.
It comes with anti-reflexion glass, can withstand mechanical loads of up to 5400 Pa and delivers a maximum electrical output of 8.02 A.

Delta is presenting the VFD-C2000 AC motor drive in the field of industrial automation. It offers multiple applications, a modular design, simple maintenance, self-diagnosis and a competitive market price. The drive is controlled via a high speed communication interface with integrated CANopen and Modbus functions. Interface cards for PROFIBUS-DP, DeviceNet, Modbus TCP and EtherNet/IP are optionally available.

Delta can be found at the MEEE in the Za’abeel-Hall, Stand ZJ01.
